Manufacturing Methods : (a) Benzaldehyde (1 Moore) and 2-Hydroxy-3-methylbenzoic acid condensation, oxidation, its product again and p-Methylaniline and Triethylamine hydrochloride reaction.
Properties and Applications: brilliant blue purple. Slightly soluble in cold water, soluble in hot water for purple. In concentrated sulfuric acid for brilliant orange red, after dilution is purple.
