Manufacturing Methods : commonly known as Rhodamine B. (a) 3-(Diethylamino)phenol and Phthalic anhydride condensation, Alkali fusion, with sulfuric acid, hydrochloric acid crystals; (b) 2-(3,6-Dichloro-9H-xanthen-9-yl)benzoic acid and Diethylamine in the reaction pressure (BP 960088).

Properties and Applications: red light purple. Light green flash small crystalline powder. Soluble in water and alcohol with a strong fluorescence blue light red solution, easily soluble in soluble fiber element, slightly soluble in acetone.
