Manufacturing Methods : 2,7-Dichloro-6-hydroxy-9-phenyl-3H-xanthen-3-one in Potassium chlorate with iodine (or sodium) and Copper chloride in four of the presence of iodine.

Properties and Applications:  blue-ray red. Soluble in water is cherry red, no fluorescence. The strong sulfuric acid to tan, diluted into tan precipitation. In water solution to join sodium hydroxide solution generation after dark red precipitate.
